A double exhibition in two young galleries in Italian tourist resorts, one on the Adriatic coast, Gabicce and the other on the Alps, Moena in which Morucchio presents digital works from the Emerging series.
A subtle weave of meaning and colour binds together Andrea Morucchio's works in this exhibition, which brings together a body of work that testifies to the eclecticism of his artistic dimension and his ability to exploit the potential of the different media he uses, crossing the line of the aesthetic horizon with critical wisdom. Photography, sculpture and video performance are the media Andrea uses in his artistic investigation, a research that over the years has become the spokesperson for a critical thought that rests on a solid scaffolding, in which form and concept become his indispensable force of inspiration, which is not limited to a mere aesthetic investigation but which conceptually also confronts issues of a more relational, ethical (Eidetic Bush, Pulse Red) and political nature (Laudes Regiae, The Main Show, Petrologiche).
['bækgraund] is an exhibition project with a strong semantic and emotional value, which reveals in its path a dense network of references and cross-references, a consequentiality between different times and places, revealing its experiential background, its link with the archetype and with other cultures. Una sottile trama di senso e colore lega insieme i lavori di Andrea Morucchio presenti in mostra, dove è riunito un corpus di opere che testimanoniano l’eclettismo della sua dimensione artistica e la sua abilità nello sfruttare le potenzialità di diversi media a cui si avvicina, varcando con sapienza critica la linea dell’orizzonte estetico. Fotografia, scultura e video performance sono i media di cui Andrea si serve nella sua indagine artistica, una ricerca che con gli anni si è fatta portavoce di un pensiero critico che si regge su una solida impalcatura, in cui forma e concetto diventano la sua imprescindibile forza d’ispirazione, che non si limita a una mera indagine estetica ma che concettualmente si confronta anche con tematiche di carattere più relazionale, etiche (Eidetic Bush, Pulse Red) e politiche (Laudes Regiae, The Main Show, Petrologiche).
