The thirteenth chapter of the traveling exhibition The End of New - presents itself as the most substantial for the number of artists and works exhibited at the Meštrovićev Paviljon, Galerija Prsten Zagreb.

Andrea Morucchio participates with two completely different works in technique and language; A photographic triptych of the Porto Marghera series accompanied by a critical text New Looks on New Ruins by Laura Cornejo and the digital art video Flooring The Rape of Venice with a text by the curator of the homonymous multimedia project Vittorio Urbani.

The concept of New in contemporary art, already explored in the previous stages of the exhibition conceived by Paolo Toffolutti and Neo Association of Udine, is re-proposed in an ever new key with this full-bodied chapter, which sees alongside artists different in technique, nationality and thought, and works in dialogue with each other.

Can we still deal with the concept of New in art? Does it still exist? And if so, does it still have meaning?

These questions compare the works chosen in this exhibition; from photographs to videos, from paintings to installations, the twenty-two artists on display have responded to the call in a different and peculiarly connected way, approaching the theme from different points of view that are sometimes shared but never the same.

Il tredicesimo capitolo della mostra itinerante creata e curata da Neo Associazione di Udine e Paolo Toffolutti – La Fine del Nuovo – si presenta come il più corposo per il numero di artisti e opere esposti presso il Meštrović Paviliion, Galerija Prsten, Zagabria.

Il concetto di Nuovo nell’arte contemporanea, già esplorato nelle tappe precedenti della mostra ideata da Paolo Toffolutti e Neo Associazione di Udine, viene riproposto in chiave sempre nuova con questo corposissimo capitolo, che vede affiancati artisti diversi per tecnica, nazionalità e pensiero, e opere in dialogo tra loro.

Ci si può ancora confrontare con il concetto di Nuovo nell’arte? Esiste ancora? E se sì, ha ancora significato?

Con queste domande si confrontano le opere scelte in quest’esposizione; da fotografie a video, da pitture ad installazioni, i ventidue artisti in mostra hanno risposto alla chiamata in maniera sempre diversa e peculiarmente connessa, affrontando il tema da diversi punti di vista alle volte condivisi ma mai uguali.
